A Time of Togetherness at Joint International Society on Early Intervention/Division on Early Childhood Conference
CPERL contributed two presentations at the first joint 2022 Division for Early Childhood (DEC) and the International Society on Early Intervention (ISEI) Conference held here in Chicago.
Vera Kaelin and Sabrin Rizk presented a poster on our PROSPECT Aim 2 results focusing on early intervention (EI) stakeholder perspectives of facilitators and barriers of implementing the Young Children's Participation and Environment Measure (YC-PEM) into an EI workflow.
Later in the week, Mary Khetani, Jodi Dooling-Litfin, Elizabeth Lerner Papautsky, Beth McManus, and Natalie Leland presented their first symposium at this conference venue. Their symposium centered the value of pursuing interdisciplinary stakeholder-engaged health services and implementation research to examine the value of embedding the YC-PEM in an EI workflow. They were gifted with the chance to initiate important discussion with EI leadership in CPERL's home state who attended their session.
Presentations were paired with a team rehearsal on campus, followed by a team dinner in Greektown to celebrate our progress and brainstorm possibilities for the future with collaborators at UIC and invited guests from Australia and Singapore too.
