CPERL in Paris

CPERL flew across the pond this May to present at the European Academy of Childhood Disability in Paris, France.

Three of our abstracts were accepted for a poster presentation to an audience of 1,000+ health care professionals. After hours of workshops, keynotes, and networking, all of which was aided with lots of French coffee, each of us flew back home with more knowledge and ideas of how to further our work. One personal highlight from our trip was a symposium that was co-presented by one of our very own, Dr. Khetani, that was titled "Future twist in participation: why and how to promote meaningful participation of children and young adults with disabilities?".

On top of it all, we are very humbled by obtaining international recognition for our contributions to the science of children's participation. Two of the 3 posters that we presented were in the top 25% of abstracts selected to be published as part of EACD conference proceedings in DMCN, and 1 of our publications on the conference topic was selected for inclusion in a virtual issue on participation by DMCN that was shared with conference attendees.
