From MS to OTD
It’s graduation season!
Two lab members, myself, Andrea, and Briana, graduated in July with our MS degrees from UIC. We were both nominated for departmental awards due in large part to our CPERL research contributions and achievements. Briana was voted by faculty to receive the UIC Emerging Leader Award – what an honor!
Now it’s time to study, study, study! Briana and I are preparing to take our NBCOT exams this month, so that we can begin practicing as occupational therapists while we complete our OTD degrees with Dr. Khetani this academic year. This will include the design and completion of capstone projects that will contribute to product development and research processes within ongoing CPERL projects.
We are the very first OTD students to be going through CPERL. Stay tuned for more information on the scope of our capstone projects as they take shape!
