Mary Receives Researcher of the Year Award
What an exciting way to end 2020 and start 2021! We are incredibly proud to announce that our lab's director, Mary Khetani, is the recipient of the 2020 Applied Health Sciences (AHS) Researcher of the Year Award at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC)! This award recognizes an AHS researcher who has demonstrated outstanding research achievements in their field of expertise over the past 3 years, by making significant advances to their field (i.e. innovation, discovery, or methodology), being recognized by colleagues nationally and/or internationally, securing extramurally funded research support, demonstrating a strong record of publications in peer reviewed journals, and conducting research that has the potential to impact society
CPERL members share: Excellence is probably one of the best words to describe Mary: She shows brilliance in innovation by taking the right amount of risk for great impact; talent in designing and implementing new projects together with practice partners, national and international collaborators; high-quality skills in leading the dissemination of our lab's work; and provides outstanding mentoring to us, distinguished by great care and dedication. This award is more than deserved and we are remarkably proud and grateful to be mentored by such an incredible role model!
