New CCTS article and podcast feature

PROSPECT

We got an opportunity to work with our colleagues in the UIC Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS), to feature the evolution of an academic-community partnership and line of research that gave rise to our Parent-Reported Outcomes for Strengthening Partnership within the Early Intervention Care Team (PROSPECT) project.

Julia led the writing of a short article, and Mary and Vera worked with our colleagues at Rocky Mountain Human Services to create a podcast. Both the article and podcast are being disseminated nationally.

The article highlights the evolution of our research on the Young Children’s Participation and Environment Measure (YC-PEM), and our more recent efforts to examine its implementation within an early intervention service context with support from the UIC CCTS Community Engagement Core. The podcast dives deeper into the evolution of our academic-community research partnership that got off to a 'rocky start' ... and despite this (or perhaps because of it), enabled us to build an authentic and lasting partnership that is pivotal to co-creating evidence for practice.

This 'summer project' has given us important opportunity to pause and reflect on our shared purpose and journey so far, while co-creating a treasured artifact to revisit and refuel as things get 'rocky' while completing PROSPECT during a global pandemic.
