CPERL Secures Pilot Implementation Grant

We are excited to share that the CPERL team has been awarded one of four UIC CCTS Implementation Research Pilot Grants supported by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

So, what's on the horizon for CPERL with this exciting grant in hand?

Our funding opens the door for us to expand both aims of our recently completed PROSPECT project. We aim to strengthen evidence for the effectiveness and implementation of the Young Children’s Participation and Environment Measure (YC-PEM) option in multiple states, drawing from the valuable lessons we've learned during the first phase of the project conducted in a single Colorado early intervention (EI) program.

Carla is pivotal to shaping the design and completion of this project as it helps to lay important foundation for their dissertation. She will partner with Dianna who has demonstrated increased interest and commitment to contributing as a research engaged practitioner to knowledge translation and implementation science for advancing family-centered pediatric practice. Mary (PI) will provide oversight in collaboration with Dr. Julie Bobitt (Co-I), who has energized us with her expertise in implementation science, to round out this team along with program and state EI leadership.
