The Value of Being Understood
Our lab's work has been featured in the latest issue of our college magazine, thematically titled "mastering the art of healthcare communication". In CPERL, each of us has struggled in the process of trying to explain what we do. Therefore, we jumped at the opportunity to share our work when first approached about this article. We had the chance to share what we do and get support this time in decoding it just right .... so right that many of us have already shared the article with our colleagues, friends, and loved ones who seem to better understand now the work we care so deeply about. The only thing that tops this experience of being understood as complementary to the work of our esteemed colleagues is the pride we have about the cover of this issue, which features an illustration by CPERL alum Christina Sidorowych! We thank the Dean's office for shining a bright light our way.
